70s flat - tribu-te hair - the big one 2022

This was a really fun project that I got to be involved with. I was asked by the brand R+Co and salon Bebop to design a set for their presentation space at Tribu-te Hair magazines show 'The Big One 2022', which celebrates hair-dressers as artists.

For this they wanted a sort of 70s council flat vibe, as they were doing punk hair through the ages. This involved a lot of sourcing of furniture items etc. to create a real lived in feeling space, that the models could interact with and bring to life. I also built my first flats making this set, which were wallpapered and aged. It turned out really well, and the walls of Battersea Arts Centre really worked with the set. It really helped create a cohesive feel and narrative to the hair being done at the event.
